Like unboxing a gift

Google Cloud offers $500 worth of free trial for new users. 
But users did not know about this offer. 
During my time as a visual designer at Google Cloud, I led end-to-end rebrand initiatives — including hiring an external agency, art directing, and launching assets — focused on improving Free Trial & onboarding discoverability. This work highlighted opportunities for UX improvements in the interaction flow, facilitating my transition into a hybrid product designer role.
Inspired by the Free Trial icon, I created a narrative of a user unboxing a a gift of a
wonderful experience 

Engaging and delightful

The rebrand and improved interaction patterns resulted in
 34% increase in users signing up for free trial.

Free trial sign-up flow

Previously, users abandoned the sign-up flow due to poor UX that failed to clarify why credit card information was required. With the new design's clear, legible layout and categorized steps, users no longer felt concerned about being charged.
